KIK Products Senior SAP FICO Analyst - 1 year Contract in Woodbridge, Ontario

KIK Consumer Brands – Household Division

Our Household Division (“Household”) is the #1 player in North American private label bleach, and supplies private label cleaning programs to prominent American retailers. Although Household started as a small bleach plant in Concord, Ontario, we have since expanded to a network of 8 plants strategically located across the United States to efficiently manufacture a variety of cleaners for both hard and soft surfaces. . KIK Consumer Brands – Pool Division

KIK’s Pool Additives Division (“Pool”) is a leading player in North America and key international markets with a broad brand and product portfolio spanning both the Mass and Specialty Retailer channels. We are well known for our Clorox® Pool&Spa™ products in the North American Mass channel, our BioGuard® brand in the North American, Australian and South Africa Specialty channel, and our Bayrol brand across Europe. The Senior FICO Analyst will be a key member of our expanding Information Systems Team, which is accountable for all system analyst activities for the KIK Consumer Brands (KCB) Division. This division is lead from the Vaughan offices and has locations throughout the world.

Description: The Senior FICO Analyst is part of the KCB Division Information Systems team. The incumbent engages directly with business users, process owners and management alongside IT/IS team interfaces. This role is responsible for managing business process changes, specifications, configuration, testing, training and for providing business consultancy and system support focusing on all SAP Financial modules.

This role is based in Vaughan, ON and will have global responsibilities for locations outside of Canada including US, Europe and Australia with travel requirements of approximately 10%.

Business and Technical Skills

  • Works closely with the User Subject Matter Experts, user community, other SAP business analysts, SAP development team and other team members on IT projects.

  • Researches, analyzes, designs, identifies and facilitates process improvements that focus on providing standard SAP functionality to meet business requirements wherever possible

  • Provides training and mentoring to others in the company related to area of expertise

  • Defines and implements best business practices, adhering to the business standards for the FICO functional processes

  • Translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications, test scripts, and other system documentation while adhering to company standards

  • Identifies costs, benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules

  • Performs SAP configuration to support changing and new business needs.

  • Troubleshoots application problems and proposes optimal resolutions.

  • Supports for monthly and year-end activities.Coordinate and test the use and development of new SAP and Integrated Supporting Systems functionality.

  • Design and develop reports and reporting structures to meet use and end-user needs.

  • Provide training on new functionality and assistance in the use of SAP and Integrated Supporting Systems to users and end-users.


  • Forge relationships with the business. Communicate well and clearly, taking the time to understand user feedback and incorporate into recommendations and requirements

  • Demonstrate leadership, flexibility and the ability to lead Power Users and effectively interface with various Finance managers. Consistently achieving consensus is a key attribute of the successful Senior FICO Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, administration or business related major. MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Requires 7 years’ experience in an SAP ERP environment, with at least 3 years front end business experience as an accountant or finance professional, and 5 years of experience supporting the Finance and controlling functions within SAP FICO.

  • Experience with at least one full life cycle implementation. Project management experience preferred.

  • SAP FICO certified preferred but not required

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred


  • Must be an SAP accounting and costing expert. Ability to implement best practices of General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Product costing, cost center accounting, profit center accounting and Profitability Analysis,

  • Extensive knowledge/experience with the development of functional specifications as well as development requirements is required.

  • Overall understanding and knowledge of SAP BW/SAP Queries.

  • Proven ability to quickly learn existing Business Processes and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines (e.g. SAP capability, Standard industry best practice) in order to produce an optimal business solution.

  • Understanding of the SAP Integrated Planning toolset

  • Possesses the skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence users on adoption of solid, actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and business relationship skills
